No wonder Lindsay Lohan is so screwed up.
The 25-year-old actress' father Michael, 51, was arrested in Tampa, Fla. early Thursday morning for allegedly contacting ex-girlfriend Kate Major, TMZ reports. According to law enforcement officials, Michael initially tried to avoid arrest by jumping off his third story balcony.
After plummeting 34 feet, Michael hid in some trees before police took him away in handcuffs. He was charged with violating a condition of his pretrial release and resisting arrest without violence. Michael was later treated for a possible foot injury at a nearby hospital.
Michael was booked at Hillsborough County Orient Road Jail — less than 12 hours after he was released from the same facility. He was first arrested early Tuesday morning on domestic violence charges.
According to Major, 28, her ex "has no regard for the justice system" and she's tired of his "false allegations about his continual physical and mental abuse toward me."
"Obviously the judge was correct when questioning if he could 'read,'" Major sniped to TMZ. "Maybe they have phonics books in jail!"
