Another surprise! Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson formally tied the knot in a romantic wedding ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Saturday, October 29, just days after reports swirled that they were legally married in June, a source tells Us Weekly.

The Olympic athlete and the 2010 Miss California USA winner, both 31, celebrated their nuptials on Saturday at a beachside ceremony at El Dorado Golf and Beach Club. The couple invited approximately 50 of their closest family members and friends to the intimate occasion, including a full bridal party and their 5-month-old son, Boomer.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds took to Instagram to share the first photos from their private beachside wedding.

"Truly the happiest day of my life," Johnson captioned a shot of herself and her groom. In the picture, she wears a beautiful Julie Vino white lace gown with a thigh-high center slit that displays her toned, tanned legs. Johnson, who notably changed her Instagram handle to @mrs.nicolephelps, paired the bridal look with white strappy heels, a bracelet and a diamond crown as she carried an enormous bouquet of white flowers.

Phelps shared a second photograph from the big day, which shows him and his blushing bride walking down the aisle at the end of the ceremony and smiling at their guests. Boomer is visible in the background as one of Johnson's bridesmaids holds him near the altar.

Phelps looked handsome in a gray tuxedo, a white button-down shirt, a light blue necktie and brown leather shoes. "My best friend.… I love you!!" he captioned the Instagram post.

TMZ reported on Wednesday, October 26, that the longtime couple were quietly married ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. They got their marriage license on June 9 and filed a record of marriage on June 15. The wedding was reportedly officiated by Phelps' agent, Peter Carlisle.

A day after the news broke, the 23-time Olympic gold medalist broke his silence in a Facebook Live video, telling fans, "I've been married for a while. A couple months. I had to keep it a secret from y'all. I had to keep it hush-hush from you guys."

The newlyweds dated on and off for eight years before they got engaged in February 2015.
