The Storms are brewing! Miles Teller’s Fantastic Four costars Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell have come to his defense after Esquire magazine labeled him as “kind of a d—k” in its September 2015 cover story.
“My movie husband @Miles_Teller is crazy talented and a truly fantastic person. @esquire,” Mara, who plays Reed Richards’ wife, Sue Storm, in the upcoming Marvel flick, wrote on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Bell, who plays Ben Grimm, retweeted his costar.
Jordan, who plays Johnny Storm and also starred with Teller in 2014’s That Awkward Moment, added: “.@Miles_Teller is my boy and I’m a great judge of character @esquire.”
Esquire’s feature was chock-full of tidbits about the Whiplash star. In the mag, Teller, 28, revealed that he cared more about pot than extracurricular activities in college, said he’s better-looking than others may think, and compared a highball glass to his penis. After the interview was published, however, he took umbrage with the mag after its official Twitter account wrote that he’s “on a quest for greatness (with a bit of dickishness too.)”
“@esquire couldn’t be more wrong,” he tweeted back Thursday. “I don’t think there’s anything cool or entertaining about being a d—k or an a—hole. Very misrepresenting.”
