Doctors' orders. Miley Cyrus told fans Wednesday, April 16, that she had to nix her Bangerz tour stop in St. Louis, Mo. — her second cancellation in a row — because she remains hospitalized in Kansas City.
"The hospital is sayin i wont b released today," she wrote, "therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control." This is the second night in a row the "Wrecking Ball" singer has canceled scheduled concerts, after she was hospitalized on Tuesday due to a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics. She was scheduled to perform at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Wednesday.
"I can't get a hold of my team because it is so early," Cyrus proceeded via Twitter, "so I want to be the one to tell my fans especially the ones trekking to get there." Cyrus also responded to speculation that she had been hospitalized over something else than the flu.
"Humans can b so selfish," she wrote. "If any1 thinks id rather b layin n a hospital bed than doing what i love on stage theyre f–kin LAME. im miserable."
A press release distributed Tuesday by Kansas City's Spring Center — where she was scheduled to perform that night — announced that Cyrus had been "placed on medical rest by her doctors."
Tweeting from her hospital bed, Cyrus shared a picture of herself in a gown with a toy octopus covering her face. "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me," she wrote, adding a sincere message to fans anticipating her show. "Kansas I promise Im as (heartbroken) as you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with yall makes me feel s–ttier than I already do."
Along with her physical maladies, Cyrus has also been grappling with the death of her beloved dog Floyd, who passed away on April 1.
