Brown, who plays creepy, psychokinetic girl Eleven on the Netflix series, showed off her musical chops in an adorable throwback clip.

“It’s nearly Thursday so I am going to do a #throwbackthursday love you Amy Winehouse. Millie Bobby Brown, Age 5, Valerie!” she captioned the clip on Wednesday, August 24.

In the video, Brown sings Amy Winehouse’s 2006 song “Valerie” into the camera. She wears a colorful sundress with a pink belt — and it’s a pretty powerful performance from such a little kid. After she’s done, she can’t help but smile as her home audience gives her a big round of applause.

Aaron Paul interviewed Brown for ELLE earlier this month, and the Breaking Bad alum said he’d seen some YouTube videos that showcase her beautiful voice. “I started singing before I started talking,” she said. “And that’s the God’s honest truth. I think it was something that I’ve always loved to do, even if I wasn’t good at it. I just loved ballads. And, actually, I have really bad hearing in one ear. I always thought that maybe I can’t do this because of my ears. But then I sort of thought, Why not post this and share it with the world?”

The actress said she wasn’t worried about shaving her head for her role as Eleven — but her mom was: “My mom’s like, ‘No! That’s not happening.’ And I was like, ‘Mom, you need to chill out; it’s gonna grow back.’ My mom was against it, and me and my dad were like, ‘Come on. It’s fine!’ Today, actually we went to an Indian restaurant, and someone was like, ‘Hello, young man.’ That was like the 500th time someone called me a boy, and I’m really fine with it.”
