Cuddling into the new year. Miranda Lambert got close and comfy with her new boyfriend, Americana/R&B singer Anderson East, in a cute snapshot she shared with fans via Instagram on Friday, January 1.
“The snuggle is real… @andersoneast. [photo by] @raytair @ape_lewis,” she captioned the shot, in which she and East, 27, wear matching beanies and cozy up together under a red-and-white plaid blanket.
Lambert, 32, is hiding half her face in the photo, while East dons a pair of wire-rimmed glasses and grins off to the side.
As Us Weekly exclusively reported earlier this week, the Grammy winner and her new beau have been dating for about a month and are “really enjoying each other’s company,” a source told Us.
A source close to East told Us that Lambert “couldn’t have picked a better dude to have fun with. Anderson is the coolest guy.”
The new musical couple spent New Year's together, another source confirmed.
Lambert and her husband of four years, Blake Shelton, split in July; about three months later, Shelton began dating his fellow Voice coach, the newly single Gwen Stefani, as Us exclusively confirmed.
“She had her suspicions but didn’t really know it was a real thing until the announcement,” a source told Us of how Lambert found out about Shelton’s new romance in early November. “But she doesn’t care. She’s divorced and he can date who he wants.”
In the January issue of Cosmopolitan, Lambert explained that in 2016, she just wants to “live a life full of everything.”
“Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey and going, ‘Man this sucks right now,’” she said. “I don’t necessarily want to know that I have really bad, long, lonely nights ahead of me, but I have had some, and I still have a bunch ahead of me.”
