She may have hit a major career milestone performing at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, Feb. 1, but Missy Elliott was also keeping her thoughts with Bobbi Kristina Brown. The daughter of the late Whitney Houston was hospitalized over the weekend after being found unconscious and facedown in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia home on Jan. 31.
“Still Praying 4 Bobbi Kristina I see sum ppl making jokes She lost her mom thats tougher than u may think 2 deal with,” the “Work It” rapper, 43, tweeted on Feb. 1.
Elliott has a close relationship with Brown, 21, and talked about her pseudo-sibling to The Insider (via E!).
"Bobbi is like a little sister to me," she said. "I have been very close to her mother. One thing that her mother said to me before she passed away was to make sure Bobbi Kristina was straight, so my prayers for healing [are] that she comes out and be around people that love her."
Brown has been in a medically induced coma since Saturday as doctors work to improve her condition. Police previously told Us Weekly that in a preliminary search no drugs were found “out in the open” at her home. Her father Bobby Brown flew to be by her side, releasing a statement, saying, “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."
Almost exactly three years ago, Grammy-winning superstar Houston was found dead at age 48 in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills Hotel room on Feb. 11, 2012.
