Hunter Montgomery, son of country star Eddie Montgomery, died on Sunday, Sept. 27, after he was involved in a serious accident. The son of the Montgomery Gentry singer was 19 and had been on life support in a Kentucky hospital.
"My son Hunter went to heaven today," Montgomery, 51, said in a statement posted to his website. "I appreciate all your prayers and love and thank you for giving us privacy as we grieve and say goodbye."
Taste of Country reports that Hunter had been on life support in the hospital for multiple days after the accident that occurred last week. The teen was the youngest of Montgomery's four children with ex-wife Tracy.
