Julia Haart is ready for her next chapter after finalizing her divorce from Silvio Scaglia.
“I’m in an amazing mood,” Haart, 55, exclusively tells Us one week after announcing that her contentious $90 million four-year legal battle with Scaglia, 67, had come to an end.
According to the My Unorthodox Life star, who fled the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community before launching her career in the fashion world, a second arrest warrant has been issued for her ex.
Scaglia was previously held in contempt of court in June 2024 for failing to appear for a hearing and failing to pay nearly $300,000 in legal fees owed to Haart as ordered by a New York judge. Scaglia was ordered to spend 20 days in jail, but he reportedly fled to Italy. (After settling their divorce last week, Scaglia now owes Haart at least $17.4 million in direct cash judgments, a $65 million three-story Tribeca penthouse in New York City and half of an estimated $25 million in unauthorized business withdrawals.)
“I’ve been waiting a year and a half. We filed our contempt motion in August of 2025,” she tells Us. “It means that his actions, in addition to being illegal and against court orders, have now been deemed criminal. Basically, he stole the company out of our coowned holding entity, Freedom Holding, and basically gifted it to himself during the divorce, filed all this paperwork, filed tax returns saying he owned 100 percent of it, and we found out about it, and the court was like, ‘No, he’s not allowed to do that,’ but he didn’t face any consequences.”
Haart continues, “I’ve been waiting a year and two months for the court to hold him accountable. And finally, today, I got the arrest warrant that states that Silvio criminally moved the company, withdrew money, siphoned money out of the company, stole money, basically didn’t follow any of the orders of the court, and now this is his second arrest warrant.”
After marrying Scaglia in 2019, Haart was named the CEO of his model and talent agency, Elite World Group. Following their 2022 split, she was fired from her role and claimed to be “completely blindsided” by his actions. Haart was also accused of making “illegal withdrawals” from the EWG bank account upon exiting the company.
In February 2022, Scaglia filed a lawsuit against Haart accusing her of withdrawing $850,000 from an EWG corporate bank account, which she denied. Us exclusively confirmed the next month that Scaglia filed a complaint against Julia accusing her of stealing a $401,500 Bentley that was owned by EWG, another claim her legal team vehemently denied. Haart subsequently filed a lawsuit in June 2022 claiming that her ex withdrew $1.5 million from the account holding her CEO salary. Scaglia later dropped his lawsuits.
In January 2025, Haart was awarded 50 percent control of Elite World Group and Freedom Holding, as well as power of attorney over Scaglia’s half of the company, after the court found that Scaglia had drained millions in funds from the company. Haart now owns 100 percent of the company as part of their divorce settlement.
Despite her sweeping victory in court, Haart tells Us she doesn’t yet feel “free” and won’t “rest” until Scaglia and his coconspirators face consequences for their actions.
“Men like them, who think that they can fly in a private plane, take money that doesn’t even belong to them, live this massive, fabulous, lavish lifestyle while destroying the women who actually built it, they have to learn that they can’t get away with that anymore,” she says. “And if I don’t continue and hold them accountable, they’re just going to keep on doing it. So someone has to stop them, and I’m going to stop them. Well, I’m going to make sure a court stops them.”
Haart also shares that although she’ll consider dating in the new year, she doesn’t plan on ever getting married again. (Prior to her marriage to Scaglia, Haart was married to Yosef Hendler from 1990 to 2013. The exes share kids Batsheva, 33, Shlomo, 30, Miriam, 26, and Aron, 18.)
“Never,” she tells Us. “I have a codicil in my will that says that if I ever get married, my children can declare me mentally incapacitated and take control of my money. Seriously, I am never getting married. I believe in love, I believe in long-term relationships. I want to grow old with someone, but I want someone to choose me every morning, not because they’re legally required to.”
She continues, “And while I have tremendous respect for marriage, and I think when you know people have kids and they’re raising children, I think it’s really nice for kids to know that their parents are married and that they have to show up every morning. I’m 55 years old. I’ve had my four children. I’ve done my job as a mom, so to speak, in raising my children. Now, for me to love is just pure love. It isn’t about kids. It’s about a companion and someone to share my wealth with and my days with and my experiences with.”
