A kiss for Santana! Naya Rivera is getting ready for Demi Lovato to play her Glee love interest, and is sharing a photo of the two actors via Instagram to prove it!
"Fancy," she captioned alongside a photo of the two stars on set of the FOX series. Dressed in matching red outfits, Lovato, 21, puckers up to Rivera, who has played the role of Santana Lopez since the show's premiere in 2009. She also suggested a new name for the pair — "Dantana."
Rivera, 26, revealed the new romance to MTV News just days prior on Aug. 25. "I'm very, very excited about that," she said of the "Heart Attack" singer joining Season 5. "We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited."
The newbie to the group couldn't agree more. "Wayyyyy too excited to be starting @GLEE this week!!!!!!! Asjfkdjshdk. I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really great friends . . ." she tweeted Aug. 26.
Lea Michele added: "Such amazing news that two of my very best friends are going to be on #Glee this year! @ddlovato & @PhoebeStrole! Thank you @MrRPMurphy!" Her Broadway Spring Awakening co-star Phoeber Strole will also be joining the cast, thanks to creator Ryan Murphy.
