Nick Gordon Says He Wants to Visit Bobbi Kristina, Family Releases Statement Saying He Was Offered the Opportunity

Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown
Nick Gordon (pictured here in 2012) claims he has been trying to visit his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown in the hospital.

As Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to fight for her life, there's a different battle going on between her boyfriend Nick Gordon and her family. Gordon has claimed numerous times that the Brown family has kept him from seeing Bobbi Kristina, 21, whom he once called his wife.

"Let me in the hospital to see my girl and let her hear my voice SHE WILL WAKE UP!!! @REALbkBrown @YFKennedy," Gordon tweeted on Saturday, Feb. 21. "If she hears MY voice let me massage her, play her favorite music I believe it will help. If you ask Bobby anything abt he cannot answer."

But it turns out the family does have an answer. Bobby Brown's legal counsel Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC released a new statement on Saturday, saying, "To address the continued and never ending media requests for comment about Mr. Gordon’s requests to visit Bobbi Kristina, let me be very clear, Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit. We are only concerned with individuals that can help Bobbi Kristina and bring resolution to this investigation. Obviously Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe."

Gordon, who recently got Bobbi Kristina's name tattooed on his forearm, has publicly claimed that he has been denied the opportunity to be by his girlfriend's side at Atlanta's Emory University Hospital.

“Nick has been trying, privately, to do everything he can to see Bobbi Kristina cooperatively,” Gordon's lawyers told Us Weekly earlier this week. “He has respected the family’s wishes and for that reason alone has not returned to the hospital and risked a public confrontation. But he desperately wants to be with the one he loves and continues to hope that his request will be granted.”

The daughter of the late Whitney Houston remains in critical condition after being found facedown and unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31. She has been in a medically induced coma ever since and recently underwent a tracheotomy to help stave off infection from her breathing tube.

“The numerous fictional reporting involving Bobbi Kristina continues and Bobby Brown’s request for privacy clearly has not been heard by all members of the media," Christopher Brown said in his statement. "Unfortunately, sensationalism remains high as various news affiliates appear determined to undermine the criminal investigation with its erroneous reporting."

Gordon's lawyer Randall M. Kessler released a statement on his behalf on Sunday, Feb. 22, following Brown's comments.

"Bobby Brown has consistently prohibited Nick, who Bobbi Kristina would want by her side, from being there," Kessler said in the statement to Us. "Per his own words, Mr. Brown has only 'offered an opportunity to potentially meet with Bobbi Kristina' if Nick were to meet certain conditions, conditions that we, his attorneys, have advised him not to meet, particularly in light of Mr. Brown's inability to guarantee access. But in an effort to do all he can to visit, Nick has repeatedly offered to meet with Mr. Brown privately to discuss his request in person, rather than through lawyers.  Those offers have also been rejected. We hope Mr. Brown has a change of heart."

As for Bobbi Kristina's father, the R&B singer, 46, just wants to see his daughter get well.

“We continue to request privacy in this matter. We thank everyone that supports Bobbi Kristina and God is hearing our prayers," Brown said.
