Nick Lachey doesn't have any thoughts on ex Jessica Simpson getting engaged a week after he popped the question to Vanessa Minnillo.
"I don't have any thoughts on any of it," he tells USA Today. "I don't know what people are saying. I'm not the one to speculate on timing."
Lachey, 37, doesn't have time to speculate, either: He's got a wedding of his own to plan.
"I'm very excited," he told UsMagazine,com. "We haven’t really planned anything yet. We’re still newly engaged so we'll [eventually] get to all that."
For now, they're focusing on the holidays.
"I’m a big believer in spending it with the family," he said. "For me it’s all about being with your loved ones. I’m going home to Cincinnati to see my niece, nephew, parents and grandmother."
And what will he be giving his wife-to-be?
Said Lachey (who proposed to Minnillo with an estimated $125,000 ring), "I think I’m done. I've already fulfilled my gift giving for the year."
