It’s like a verse out of the “Cell Block Tango.” But instead of “popping his gum,” Phyllis D. Jefferson’s boyfriend, Ronnie D. Bucker, ate the last of her salsa.
Once Jefferson, 50, realized she had none of the tomato-based dip to scoop her chip into, WKYC reports the Akron, Ohio resident went berserk and reportedly stabbed her boyfriend, 61, with a pen in his pelvis.
She then attempted to knock the television onto the floor, but when Bucker saved the precious box, it only fueled her rage. Jefferson allegedly went into the kitchen, retrieved a knife, and stabbed her man in the stomach, according to the report.
Police say the salsa-loving suspect then ran out of the house and drove off before she was stopped and arrested on charges of felonious assault and criminal damaging.
Luckily, Bucker was treated at a local medical center, but his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
