O.J. Simpson looks like he’s doing OK in prison. The former NFL star, who is serving a 33-year sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, is smiling and appears to look happy in a newly released mug shot.
In the photo, the 68-year-old sports a green jumpsuit and gray hair. His last mug shot was taken in July 2013.
Simpson, who was the subject of FX’s hit show The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, is serving time in prison after being found guilty of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, assault, robbery and use of a deadly weapon in 2008. In September 2007, he was arrested at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Nevada while attempting to take items he claims were stolen from him, including his Heisman Trophy.
In his infamous 1995 trial, Simpson was found not guilty of the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman. A civil jury later found him liable in 1997 for the murders, and Simpson was ordered to pay $33 million in damages.
The controversial sports star could be released on parole in 2017 after serving the mandatory minimum sentence of nine years.
