Nothing to look at. On the Thursday, March 10, episode of The Talk, Sharon Osbourne revealed that her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, was not impressed by the naked selfie she posted in support of Kim Kardashian.
“Oh, my Lord. Well, I sent it to Ozzy, and let me tell you what he said,” the 63-year-old Brit said of the rocker, whom she wed in July 1982. “My husband goes … ‘Why are you sending me naked pictures of yourself? I know what you look like when you have no clothes on. We’ve been married a long time.’”
“So my response back to him was, ‘You romantic fool, you!’” she added, causing laughter from her cohosts.
As Us Weekly previously reported, Sharon was one of the many celebrities who came to Kardashian’s defense after Chloe Grace Moretz, Piers Morgan and Bette Midler criticized her now-viral nude Instagram.
Along with Emily Ratajkowski and Courtney Stodden, Osbourne showed love for the reality star by sharing her own completely bare pic in the same black-barred style of the controversial photo.
Aside from her hubby’s lack of enthusiasm, Osbourne noted that the general reaction to her racy snapshot has been nothing but positive.
“The response I’ve had has been amazing. … Now I understand why Kim constantly does this, because the response has been just amazing and warming, and it makes you feel good, and everybody’s been so lovely,” the former MTV personality added. “And I’m like, ‘Oh, wow, this is amazing.’ And it does make you feel good and empowered.”
Feeling empowered is exactly what Kardashian had hoped her skin-baring selfie might inspire in others.
“I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me,” she wrote in an essay published on her website on March 8. “And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.”
