Welcome to the family! Paris Hilton took to Instagram on Tuesday, October 11, to give fans a glimpse of her new teeny-tiny teacup Chihuahua.
The reality star turned DJ, 35, shared several photos of herself proudly holding her impossibly small furry friend.
“Thank you @TeaCupPuppyParadise!” Hilton captioned a photo of herself and the yet-to-be named dog. “So in love with my new baby girl! 😍”
In a subsequent post, the hotel heiress gushed over the little critter’s adorable grin. “Her little smile melts my heart. 😍,” she wrote.
In another ‘gram, Hilton nuzzled up to the precious pooch to plant a few smooches on her: “#MagicalKisses with my lil #LoveBug 💋.”
The “Stars Are Blind” songstress also asked her 6.2 million followers for suggestions as to what she should call her insanely cute canine. “Meet the newest member to the @HiltonPets family 😍 What should I name this lil cutie?” she asked.
Prior to purchasing her black-and-brown baby — which is worth an estimated $8,000 — Hilton spent $25,000 on two white teacup Pomeranians (one for her and one for mom Kathy) in January 2015, according to TMZ. And in September 2015, she dropped $13,000 on yet another miniature Pomeranian, the site reports.
Hilton, whose childhood dream was to be a veterinarian, is known for her love of animals. She houses her fur balls in her famous “doggy mansion” — which, according to Nylon, is a 300-square-foot, Philippe Starck–furnished, Faye Resnick–decorated structure that is nestled in the backyard of her sprawling L.A. estate.
Tinkerbell, Hilton’s most well-known pet of all, accompanied the socialite through her rise to fame. A 2008 Telegraph article cited Hilton and her beloved teacup Chihuahua, who was often pampered and toted around in a designer purse, as having inspired the trend for “handbag dogs.” Tink sadly passed away in April 2015.
“My heart is broken,” Hilton wrote via Instagram at the time. “I am so sad & devastated. After 14 amazing years together my baby Tinkerbell has passed away of old age.”
During a 2013 interview with VH1 News, the fragrance mogul revealed that she had owned more than 35 pets up to that point in her life and opened up about her unwavering love for them.
“I love animals. I have, like, 35 pets. I have seven dogs, three cats, six ferrets, four sugar gliders — those are flying squirrels — a parrot, a pig, a pony,” she boasted before joking, “and a partridge in a pear tree.”
