Part deux for these two. Nearly 11 months after filing for divorce, actor Patrick Dempsey and his estranged wife, Jillian Dempsey, are trying to work out their marriage, a source tells Us Weekly in the Nov. 23 issue.
“They’ve been going on dates,” the insider tells Us of the pair, who split this past January after 15 years of marriage. “And [are] trying to be a couple again.”
Jillian was first to file for divorce on Jan. 21, citing irreconcilable differences. At the time, she sought spousal support and joint custody of their three kids Tallulah, 13, and twins Darby and Sullivan, 8. Though she and Patrick have yet to rescind their legal divorce documents, they spent some quality time together in Paris, France, this past weekend.
Jillian and the former Grey’s Anatomy actor, 49, were photographed holding hands on Sunday, Nov. 8, as they explored the City of Light. At one point, the two even made a stop by the Pont des Arts’ famed Love Lock Bridge, where they attached their own mini symbols of affection.
“There’s still a lot of love between them,” the source tells Us.
And less distance: Patrick is currently abroad in London filming Bridget Jones’s Baby with Renee Zellweger, while Jillian, a professional makeup artist, has been in Europe for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 press tour.
So what exactly made Jillian change her mind? “He was going through a bit of a midlife crisis,” the insider notes of Patrick, who took responsibility for the split with his wife. “But he’s snapping out of it.”
