Days after Pauley Perrette posted on social media about getting attacked outside of her Hollywood home, her alleged attacker has been charged on multiple felony counts.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office released a statement to Us Weekly, confirming that a man named David Merck has been charged with one felony count of making a criminal threat and one felony count of false imprisonment by violence.
If convicted, Merck, 45, could spend up to four years in prison, according to the statement.
At the time of the Nov. 12 attack, the NCIS star, 46, noted that the man called himself “William” and threatened to kill her.
“He grabbed me so forcefully, pinned my arm, punched me in the nose, forehead repeatedly telling me he was going to kill me,” she wrote in a post on Twitter. “Then he showed me how he was going to kill me.”
The incident left Perrette clearly shaken. She concluded her post by writing, “I almost died tonight.”
