Chris Brown's latest piece of body art isn't your average butterfly or rose tattoo.
In Las Vegas on Monday, the "Don't Wake Me Up" singer, 23, debuted a brand-new, still red tattoo on his neck. The image appears to be of a glamorous — but battered — woman — with a black eye, scratches and bruises on her face. The startling stamp conjures up memories for many of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who was photographed similarly blooded and bruised after Brown assaulted her in February 2009.
Not so, Brown sources insist to TMZ. "It's a random woman." Indeed, Brown's rep told Gossip Cop that the pictured woman "is not Rihanna."
Still connected over three years after Brown's shocking attack, the twosome caused a huge stir at last Thursday's MTV Video Music Awards when Brown congratulated his ex, 24, on her Video of the Year award with a kiss on the lips and an affectionate hug.
One person especially not pleased by that extremely amicable PDA? Brown's current love, aspiring model Karrueche Tran — who is "totally pissed off" with Brown after the incident, according to a source.
As it happens, Rihanna also got fresh new ink recently: A very sizable rendering of the Egyptian goddess Isis beneath her breasts on her upper ribcage, which she shared via Twitter. The work is dedicated in the memory of her recently passed grandmother, Dolly.
