Guess it's true that birds of a feather flock together. Rashida Jones seems to have met her match in a fellow Harvard alum who just happens to also be a smart, funny writer. As revealed in the new issue of Us Weekly, the Parks and Recreation actress, 37, is seeing Saturday Night Live scribe Colin Jost, 31.
"She's known him for a while," a source tells Us of the Celeste and Jesse Forever star (class of 1997), who spent time with Jost (class of 2004) at Seth Meyers' Sept. 1 wedding in Martha's Vineyard, Mass. (Meyers' bride is longtime love Alexi Ashe.)
"Rashida is into him," the source adds. "She likes that he's funny."
A sense of humor is indeed important to the My Idiot Brother standout, whose parents are music producer Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. "Funny is important," she told Piers Morgan in 2011 of her ideal mate. "He doesn't have to laugh at my jokes. He has to make me laugh."
The star — who has said in the past that she isn't a fan of the idea of marriage — has previously been linked with Mark Ronson, John Krasinski, and Jon Favreau. "I’m no better at break-ups," she told Movieline last year of her track record. "I haven’t gotten any stronger, I just try to learn my lesson in a way where I don’t have to re-learn it, and that’s the only thing I can do. It gets a little better every time I get out of a relationship, I know I’m never going to do that thing again."
