Ree Drummond’s son Jamar Goff was ordered to stay away from two women prior to his recent drug arrest.
According to court documents obtained exclusively by Us, Goff, 23, was forbidden to come within 500 feet of one alleged victim, who claimed he “grabbed” her by the throat and “threw” her dog into a wall.
The alleged incident happened on May 23, 2025, in which the female, whom Us has chosen not to name, outlined the shocking accusations of violence in her petition for a protective order against Goff.
“He punched a hole in my wall. He flipped my couch with me and my dog on it. He grabbed me by the neck and pushed me down onto the couch and held me there until I could not breathe while screaming in my ear as loud as he could,” she wrote in her request filed in an Alabama court on May 28, 2025.
The woman who was allegedly in a “dating relationship” with the Food Network star’s son claimed Goff had been living at her apartment “for free” and had shown “multiple signs of aggression.”
“He threw my dog into a wall,” she noted, while alleging that he “threatened to harm” her while she was on the phone with her sister.
“He grabbed me by the arms and would not let go leaving bruises. He threatened to lock me in my apartment and keep me there,” the woman said in her plea for protection.
Court documents obtained by Us show she was granted a protective order on May 28, 2025. Goff was prohibited from coming within 500 feet of her, her place of employment, school or any other place she frequented. He was also ordered not to harass, stalk, annoy or threaten her.
The protection order was good for one year. It seemingly expired on May 28, 2026, just months before his drug arrest.
This wasn’t the only woman he was banned from coming near.
A separate emergency protective order was issued against Goff in Oklahoma, ordering him to stay at least 100 yards from a different woman, Us can confirm.
The woman said she had been dating Goff and claimed he began sending her “violent” calls and emails after she broke up with him.
“He said he will come to my house and hurt whoever stops him,” read court docs dated August 1, 2022. “He can’t get over our relationship ever [and] keeps wanting to get back together. When I get back to school … if he sees me he’ll do something about it.”
An emergency protective order was issued that same day, banning Goff from coming within 100 yards of his ex. The judge signed off on a final protective order on August 15, 2022, which instructed Goff to have no contact with the alleged victim and turn over any firearms or weapons.
The final order of protection expired on August 1, 2024.
Us reached out to Drummond, 57, and Goff’s attorney for comment.
These disturbing allegations are coming to light following Goff’s arrest in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 15.
Drummond’s son was booked on four charges, including unlawful possession of a controlled substance, aggravated assault on a police officer, drug paraphernalia for use or possession and attempting to elude an officer.
According to court documents obtained by Us, police responded to a call about a suspicious person on the University of Alabama at Birmingham campus. When officers arrived, Goff was sleeping near a fountain without a shirt.
When they woke up Goff, he claimed he was waiting for someone to sell him “ice,” which is another name for methamphetamine. After they confronted him about an alleged warrant for his arrest, Drummond’s son ran off.
He was cornered by law enforcement outside a local hospital when he “used an open-handed palm strike” on an officer, the complaint revealed. (TMZ was first to report the news.)
His bail has been set at $37,000, and he remains in jail at the time of publication.
Drummond and her husband, Ladd Drummond, became foster parents to Goff in 2018 when he was a teenager. The couple also share three biological sons.
