Reese Witherspoon just proved how ageless she really is. The Oscar winner, who turns 40 in March, posted an amazing throwback photo of herself via Instagram on Thursday, January 21.
“#tbt My first film festival #Deauville in 1991, age 15,” Witherspoon wrote in the caption. “#BackInTheDay.”
A Hollywood newbie at the time, the Wild actress is fresh-faced in the old-school snapshot. She’s wearing a black top and big hoop earrings, and her usually blonde locks are dark brown.
That same year, Witherspoon landed her first movie role, as Dani Trant Jason London in The Man in the Moon. She would make hits such as Pleasantville and Cruel Intentions seven years later.
Witherspoon could easily be mistaken for her look-alike daughter, Ava Phillippe, in the photo. Witherspoon and her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, welcomed Ava, now 16, in 1999, and are also parents of son Deacon, 12. The couple ended their eight-year marriage in 2007.
Both actors have moved on since the split. Witherspoon married CAA agent Jim Toth in 2011, and welcomed son Tennessee in 2012. Phillippe, 41, and his girlfriend, Paulina Slagter, got engaged last month after four years of dating.
