This week on Getting Real With the Housewives, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island star Rulla Nehme Pontarelli gets candid about her marriage to Brian Pontarelli amid his affair rumors.
During the Sunday, April 26, episode of the Bravo series, Rulla sat down with Jo-Ellen Tiberi. In their conversation, Jo-Ellen alleged that Brian was still visiting his mistress every morning while claiming he was at the gym. She then presented Rulla with what she said was a text message exchange between Brian and the woman, which Rulla felt was fabricated.
“Brian is the person who I’ve known my entire life. For any mistakes or misjudgements he’s made, I can honestly tell everyone that he has more than repented his sins,” Rulla tells Us. “I think everyone will see that. For people who might say, ‘Oh, my God, after what he did, I can’t believe she’s with him or taking him back and she doesn’t need him,’ I feel like for a woman with values, it actually makes you a stronger person.”
Later in the episode, Jo-Ellen showed Rulla a photo that his alleged mistress — who Rulla claimed that Brian was seeing in summer 2024, but it had come to an end — posted to her Instagram Stories showing her and Brian together in his car. Brian had left a group event earlier in the day to say he was visiting his mom in the hospital.
“People have lapses of judgment, a lot of people out there have lapses of judgment, or their husbands or their wives have, but it just never came to light, or they never admitted it,” Rulla tells Us. “There’s a lot of that stuff that goes on that we don’t know about, or that’s never admitted. In this case, certain things were brought to light and I’ve navigated them as best as possible. I truly take things day by day. I’m on top of things, let’s put it that way, so Jo-Ellen doesn’t need to be.”
