Looking good, ladies! Robin Roberts and her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign made a rare public appearance together on Monday, May 19.
The pair stepped out in New York City, attending the 11th annual Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network's Respect Awards at Gotham Hall. The event recognizes efforts made to make schools a safer environment for students of all sexualities.
Roberts, 53, attended the event to present the Gay-Straight Alliance of the Year award. She wore a chic black overall-inspired jumpsuit over a white collared shirt and black-and-white T-strap heels.
Laign, a massage therapist, wore a black V-neck top belted with a navy, royal blue, and white geometric floor-length skirt. She posed with Roberts, with their arms around one another.
Though Roberts is very private with her personal life, she referenced Laign in a Facebook post in December, when she reflected back on her bone marrow transplant, which she received in 2012 and called a "critical milestone."
"I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together," Roberts wrote at the time. The couple has reportedly been dating for more than 10 years.
ABC News, which hosts Roberts on Good Morning America, added, "We love Robin and Amber, who we have all known for a long time."
