Katy Perry's ex-husband Russell Brand is apparently on the attack! Though he finalized his divorce from the singer over a year ago, the 38-year-old British comedian is still including Perry, 28, in his stand-up routine.
According to the San Francisco Gate, Brand made jokes about his sex life with Perry during a gig at London's Soho Theatre on Wednesday, July 31.
"When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk. When you're a monk, you're not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you're married, it's one person. That's one more than a monk," he allegedly joked. "It's not that different. I'd be having sex thinking, 'Think of anyone, anyone else.'"
Brand filed for divorce from Perry in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in July 2012.
In the July 2013 issue of Vogue, Perry said Brand's jokes were losing their charm on her near the end of their marriage. "[He's] hysterical in some ways," she said. "Until he started making jokes about me and he didn't know I was in the audience, because I had come to surprise him at one of his shows."
The "Part of Me" singer, who is currently dating John Mayer, also revealed that she found out Brand was divorcing her via text message. "I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day," she explained. "I let go and I was like: This isn't because of me; this is beyond me. So, I have moved on from that."
