Just because he’s being tight-lipped doesn’t mean he can’t crack a smile! Ryan Gosling couldn’t help grinning when a reporter mentioned his newborn daughter on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his new film, The Nice Guys, on Tuesday, May 10.
Entertainment Tonight’s Cameron Mathison spoke with Gosling, 35, about his starring role in the film opposite Russell Crowe, and ended the interview with a quick congratulations.
“We at ET want to say congratulations on your new baby girl,” the reporter told the actor. “That’s a beautiful thing.”
“Well, thank you very much. Thank you,” Gosling replied with a big smile on his face.

As previously reported, Gosling and longtime girlfriend Eva Mendes welcomed their second daughter, Amada Lee Gosling, on April 29, just weeks after Us Weekly exclusively broke the news that they were expecting.

The couple, who met on the set of Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, are already parents to daughter Esmeralda, 19 months.
On Sunday, the family celebrated Mother’s Day at Vista Theatre in Hollywood by renting out the entire venue for family and friends.
“Ryan carried Esmeralda in and out of the theater in his arms,” an onlooker told Us.
