Born in Miami, Fla., in 1975, Cuban beauty Eva Mendes began to pursue her acting dreams during her college years, accepting smaller roles until her big break came along in 2001, when she was cast as the girlfriend of Denzel Washington‘s character in Training Day.
The 2007 Us Hot Hollywood Player went on to star in films including 2 Fast 2 Furious, Hitch and We Own The Night. The actress — who went into rehab in 2008 for “personal issues” — is the Revlon pitchwoman and lends her face and body to Calvin Klein underwear campaigns.
The Ghost Rider actress met Ryan Gosling on the 2011 set of The Place Beyond the Pines, soon sparking a real-life romance. The twosome have since welcomed daughters Esmeralda and Amada in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
