Sarah Silverman Does Interview as Hitler on ‘Conan’: Trump Is ‘Starting to Make Me Rethink Some of the Things I’ve Done’

Yup, they went there. Sarah Silverman dressed up as Adolf Hitler for a sit-down chat with Conan O’Brien on Thursday, March 10, to clear the air about the recent comparisons being drawn between the German dictator and Donald Trump.

The comedian, 45, donned Nazi regalia for her bit on the late-night show, complete with the Führer’s trademark mustache.

“I think most people would agree Donald Trump might be the most divisive presidential candidate ever,” O’Brien, 52, said by way of introducing Silverman-as-Hitler to the audience. “Even as he continues to win primaries, many are openly comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.”

O’Brien then referenced Louis C.K.’s recent diss of the GOP presidential hopeful in a promotional email for his web series Horace and Pete, which made the front page of the Daily News.

“Please stop it with voting for Trump,” C.K. wrote in the email. “It was funny for a little while. But the guy is Hitler. And by that I mean that we are being Germany in the 30s. Do you think they saw the s–t coming? Hitler was just some hilarious and refreshing dude with a weird comb over who would say anything at all.”

The Daily News’ front page the next day showed an angry Trump, 69, with the headline “Trump Is Hitler.”

“It doesn’t get much worse than ‘Trump is Hilter,’” he said. “So I’ve asked if he’d come out tonight to address these comparisons. … Ladies and gentleman, here to defend himself is Adolf Hitler.”

The funnyman then invited Silverman to the stage; the outspoken actress marched out waving and saluting to the crowd, thanking them for “more applause than I expected!”

Silverman-as-Hitler then proceeded to address the various outrageous things that Trump has said in recent weeks, including his reference to his own genitals (“What kind of person talks about his penis size on national television?”), as well as the way Hitler has been “unfavorably compared” to the GOP frontrunner.

“All these comparisons to Trump — it bums me out,” Silverman said. “Sometimes I watch him and I’m like, ‘Is that how people see me?’”
