16 and Pregnant alum Savannah Mooney is looking back at one of the most frightening days of her life.
The reality TV personality opened up about the day the FBI raided her home to arrest her then-boyfriend, Jonathan O’Dell, in a sneak peek at Investigation Discovery’s Hollywood Demons: Surviving 16 and Pregnant, shared by Entertainment Weekly ahead of the episode’s Monday, May 18, premiere.
“October 7th, I woke up and he had a friend that was living with us — I [was] not his biggest fan,” Mooney said of the harrowing day in 2022. “I went to wake him up … We had this big bay window and I was being nosy.”
Mooney said she looked out the window to see “every [military] agency you could possibly imagine” outside their home.
“The next thing I remember is flash bangs and smoke bombs everywhere,” she recalled.
The FBI executed a search warrant on the home amid an investigation into O’Dell, 35, and Bryan Perry, who were accused of participating in a conspiracy to murder U.S. Border Patrol agents. The pair was identified as members of the 2nd American Militia.
“Jonathan laid on top of me in the hallway and his friend comes out dressed in bulletproof vests — all the works,” Mooney added. “His friend shot 11 shots out of the window at the FBI and cracked their bearcat window.”
Mooney recalled being so frightened that she “accepted the fact that I was going to die that morning.”
“We both kind of said a prayer and goodbye,” she added.
After the firing stopped, Mooney said she “ran out the door with my hands up and I said, ‘Please don’t shoot. I’m 24 weeks pregnant.’”
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in August 2025, O’Dell was sentenced to “165 years in federal prison without parole for one count each of conspiracy to murder a federal officer, conspiracy to assault a federal officer, conspiracy to injure an officer, assault of a federal officer that inflicts bodily injury, depredation of government property, possession of a firearm while subject to a court order of protection, communicating a threat to injure, making a false statement, escape from custody, two counts of assault of a federal officer involving physical contact, seven counts each of attempted murder of a federal officer and assault of a federal officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon, and 14 counts of use of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.”
O’Dell was also sentenced to “five years of supervised release following his incarceration and a restitution amount of $19,234.63.”
Perry, 39, was sentenced to five consecutive life terms in federal prison without parole.
Mooney, who appeared on 16 and Pregnant season 5 in 2014, will share more about her life after the MTV reality show during Monday night’s Hollywood Demons episode. Other stars of the show will also open up about the struggles they faced, including “homelessness, addiction … and insinuations of murder,” according to the episode’s synopsis.
