Benny Blanco surprised his wife, singer and actress Selena Gomez, with an epic 34th birthday celebration.
“Let’s make an Italian feast for my wife’s birthday,” Blanco, 38, said in a Wednesday, July 22, video shared via TikTok, sharing footage of the married couple making homemade pasta during a cooking class at Il Borro in Tuscany.
Once their culinary adventures were complete, Blanco and Gomez were able to taste the fruits of their labor.
“That thing is good,” Gomez gushed after a bite, which Blanco recorded from across a table.
As for Blanco, he noted that his “baby makes the best” eggplant parmesan after tasting the dishes for himself.
“Mmm! That’s the best thing I’ve tasted in Italy so far,” he said. “And you made it!”
Gomez quickly corrected her spouse, adorably noting that “we made it” together.
In addition to the culinary experience, Blanco honored Gomez’s big day with a social media tribute.
“My beautiful wife, I’ll carry u wherever u wanna go forever,” Blanco wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, sharing footage of himself holding Gomez on his back while crossing a bridge. “Happy birthday, my love.”
Gomez responded, “I love you.”
Gomez and Blanco have been together since 2023, getting engaged the next year.
“She’s my best friend,” Blanco told Interview magazine in March 2025. “The second time we hung out, our second date, I was like, ‘Wait, does she like me?’ I was clueless. From then on, it was easy.”
He continued at the time, “You know when you think you met the right person, you’re like, ‘Oh my god.’ But it feels so different. The second we started hanging out, I was like, ‘This is my wife.’ I was telling my mom, ‘This is the girl I’m going to marry.’”
Gomez and Blanco tied the knot in September 2025, which the Only Murders in the Building actress said on her beau’s podcast in March was a “pivotal moment” in her life.
“That’s when I realized I was like, ‘Oh I want this,’” Gomez recalled. “[Lil Dicky, our officiant] was killing and making everyone laugh in the right places, get emotional in the right places.”
Lil Dicky, 38, is Blanco’s close friend and “Friends Keep Secret” podcast cohost.
“Coming into Benny’s world was really fun and exciting but different for me because I was very shy,” Gomez added at the time. “I didn’t know a lot of people and I kept to myself a lot, which could be misconstrued, but he was very nice and introduced me to a lot of people.”
