The View co-host Sherri Shepherd will not lose custody of her 9-year-old son after an L.A. County Court hearing, TMZ reports.
The 47-year-old TV star retains primary physical custody of the little boy Jeffrey despite first-husband Jeffrey Tarpley's allegations that she was a bad mother, blaming Shepherd and her "unskilled nannies" for his son's inability to tie his own shoelaces or read.
In court documents obtained by the outlet, the judge refused Tarpley's bid for full custody of the former couple's child, declaring, "there has not been a material change in circumstances to grant the request."
It's one piece of good news for the TV host who has not had a good year. Last month ABC announced it would be terminating her role as The View co-host after seven years of service.
Alluding to her battles both in and out of court, Shepherd took to her Twitter account on Tuesday, July 22, to share some words of wisdom from her similarly-sacked co-host Jenny McCarthy.
"Love this quote @JennyMcCarthy sent me: 'You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice,'" she wrote.
