This Wild One is locked down! "Chandelier" singer Sia Furler is engaged to filmmaker Erik Anders Lang.
The Aussie-born songstress' mother, Loene Furler, confirmed the news to a local Adelaide, Australia newspaper last Friday, June 6, after Sia sported a small diamond ring on her left ring finger at the Wayuu Taya gala in NYC on June 4.
Her fiance hinted at his engagement by posting an up-close picture on Instagram last Tuesday, June 3, of a woman's hand wearing the same exact ring. "That's an engagement ring folks," he captioned the pic, tagging @dontpanicdingaling. The profile picture of the private user's handle features Furler's face.
Sia, 38, best known for her smash collaborations with artists like Flo Rida and David Guetta, has also maintained an impressive solo career over the years as an indie artist, songwriter and producer. She has worked with Beyonce, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, and Lea Michele.
Furler consoled the Glee star after Cory Monteith's July 2013 death. Like Michele, the "Breathe Me" singer experienced the loss of a significant other back in the '90s, when her boyfriend Dan Pontifex was killed in a London car crash.
Furler told the New York Times in April that she and Michele connected over the emotional track, "If You Say So," adding, "because I have a dead boyfriend, too." Furler concluded, "It occurs to me that there is value to what I do."
Her future husband Lang, a filmmaker, is currently working on a documentary with Bill Murray and Kelly Slater. His new project explores the connections between golf and spirituality. Lang has previously worked on documentaries with TED and LVMH.
