David Walliams is weighing in on his good friend Simon Cowell's baby news. After Us Weekly exclusively revealed that the X Factor judge, 53, is expecting a baby with Lauren Silverman, the British comedian, 41, took to Twitter to comment on his pal's baby news.
"Oh yeah, and Simon Cowell is doing a baby with a lady," tweeted Walliams, who is a judge on Cowell's Britain's Got Talent. "For the record Simon Cowell and I tried to have a baby together for many years," he jokingly added. "But I just couldn't get pregnant."
He may also need to tweet some advice to his buddy about fatherhood. Wallliams welcomed his first child, a baby boy named Alfred, with model wife Lara Stone in May. On May 7, he tweeted a photo of blue and white flowers with the captions, "Someone always has to show off and send the biggest bouquet. Thank you Simon Cowell."
An insider told Us that Silverman, 36, is "around 10 weeks along." The New York socialite is still technically married to Cowell's close friend Andrew Silverman, but a source told Us, "Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while. As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close."
