Simone Biles is closing the chapter on her and husband Jonathan Owens’ Houston home.

“Today is the first day the house is going to be on the market,” Biles, 29, said in an emotional TikTok posted Wednesday, October 21. “Why the f*** am I boohoo crying? F***. This house will be on the market for the first time and I don’t know why I’m boohoo crying.”

She continued, “I was here for six years, and I feel like there were just so many good memories, so many bad memories. But I feel like I grew up in this house. It’s made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it. I didn’t think I’d be emotional about a house.”

The Olympian then picked up her phone to give a glimpse of the empty space, which included a spacious backyard with a pool.

“Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me,” she concluded, adding in the caption, “The house sold in 4 days 😭. I was so excited to put in air fresheners for the potential buyers & showing Jonathan the last look. I just cried instead… anyone else? #emotionallyattached.”

In the comments section, one user inquired about why the couple were selling their house. Biles replied with a white heart emoji and wrote, “Because we built our dream home.”

The home went under contract five days after it was listed on September 26 and closed on October 15, according to the Houston Business Journal. The 3,998-square-foot house sold for between $1.08 million and $1.24 million, per the Houston Association of Realtors.

Biles, who tied the knot with the NFL player in 2023, shared in 2025 that her new Texas home had been completed after a five-year design and construction journey.

“Home building requires a lot of patience,” she wrote via her Instagram Story at the time, adding, “Started the design process in 2020 & took a year to complete. Approvals took awhile from HOA. Broke ground in Feb 2022. Completed 11/11/25.”

When she’s not busy in the real estate realm, Biles can be found cheering on the sidelines at Owens’ NFL games. The safety signed with the Indianapolis Colts earlier this year after previously playing for the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals.

While exclusively talking to Us in September, Biles shared that she would only be attending her husband’s home games this year.

“Last year was the first year I went to every single game. That was really hard. I wanted to be there and show up because he shows up for me,” she explained. “I really wanted to be there and do a whole entire season. So I did it. Baby, I’m going to stay at home this year so I can still work those [road] weekends.”
