Last year, Sofia Vergara was stunning in a black Zac Posen gown while at the 2014 Golden Globes, but this year, she opted out of the awards show and spent the evening dressed down in the company of her new fiancé Joe Manganiello.
According to an eyewitness, the Modern Family star, 42, and True Blood hunk, 38, joined friends at the original Bruxie in Orange, California, an eatery that’s known for its gourmet waffle sandwiches.
The newly engaged couple arrived at the joint around 8 p.m. and joined friends who had a bevy of goodies waiting for them, including s’mores and custards. “Joe then ordered a creme brûlée sandwich, a side of custard, and a Diet Coke,” the source tells Us. “The whole group seemed to be enjoying their desserts.”
“They looked really happy together and were dressed down,” the witness added of Manganiello and Vergara, who “looked beautiful” in a simple puffer jacket.
Manganiello popped the question to the Colombian beauty on vacation in Hawaii on Christmas day, just six months after Us Weekly revealed they were dating.
