Stars Campaign for President Barack Obama Day Before Election Day

With Election Day just one day away, celebrities are campaigning harder than ever for fans to get out and vote!

Jay-Z, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Eva Longoria, Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt, Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson and many other stars have been lending their support to President Barack Obama‘s re-election campaign.

Private Practice actress Kate Walsh tweeted Monday, “If you wonder why I, as an actor, voice my opinions about politics . . . here’s my answer.” In a YouTube video titled, “Why I’m voting for Barack Obama,” Walsh explained, “We were given a huge mess to deal with and untangle, and Barack Obama is the guy to do it.”

On Sunday, she also tweeted, “Women, this election matters — access to health care, funding for Planned Parenthood. That’s why I am voting for Barack Obama. Vote!”

Singer Sheryl Crow also shared a video, tweeted, “Here’s a fun video we did for ‘Woman in The White House’ please share/RT and remember to get out and vote on Tuesday!”

Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel, shared photos of campaign efforts Sunday. “Stopped at Stapleton Field Office to meet vols and make calls,” she wrote. “So much fun, to join in go to http://call.barackobama.com.”

Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer also tweeted, “Had an awesome day in FL getting out the vote! Fired up & ready to go! Obama 2012.”

On Monday, singer Lady Gaga told her fans, “So excited, will be on the radio today and tomorrow to talk about the election and how important it is to vote. Youth empowerment.”
