Summer House star Kyle Cooke is pulling back the curtain on 2026 after his separation from estranged wife Amanda Batula, who is now dating their costar West Wilson.
“Before I get right into the financials and business, how’s life? How are you doing? Was 2026 what you expected it to be?” host Jason Tartick asked on the Monday, May 11, episode of the “Trading Secrets” podcast, to which Kyle, 43, replied, “Not so much.”
“It’s been a roller-coaster,” Kyle continued. “I think when you put yourself out there sometimes you just don’t know what to expect. April has been one of those months where it hasn’t been easy. … Ready to turn this page. I appreciate you asking. People have been checking in. It’s been a roller-coaster.”
Kyle pointed out that Jason, 37, was with Amanda, 34, in Miami in January, days after the former couple announced their split via Instagram.
“If you were to ask me if I saw any of this coming, absolutely not,” he said. “Such is life. You know, you just kind of have to learn from everything and move on.”
Two months after news broke that the pair had called it quits following four years of marriage, Amanda made headlines when she and West, 31, confirmed in a joint Instagram statement that they were more than friends. Aside from their connection to Kyle, the duo’s romance also ruffled feathers due to West’s past relationship with Amanda’s former BFF and Summer House costar Ciara Miller.
The highly anticipated season 10 Summer House reunion is set to address the situation and dynamics between cast members. One day after the reunion was filmed in April, an audio recording of Amanda and Ciara arguing about West leaked online. Bravo launched an official investigation, which the network confirmed had concluded days later.
As fans weighed in on the audio leak, some pointed to West’s silence as he and Amanda were confronted by their costars. In Kyle’s perspective, West did not have Amanda’s “back.”
“West explicitly asked that any criticism or ‘heat’ be directed at him rather than Amanda on his podcast. West then proceeded to sit silent in all three audio clips leaked. 🤡 🎪,” Bravo blog Bravoandcocktails wrote via Threads at the time, to which Kyle replied, “He’s all PR and zero intention or integrity. The reunion was a brutal beat down and I can’t recall a moment when he had Amanda’s back 😔.”
