Taylor Frankie Paul revealed she felt uneasy during school visits amid her public drama with ex Dakota Mortensen.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 31, was concerned about her public perception, she admitted in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, May 13.. “My anxiety was 10/10 waking into my kids’ school with all the parents assuming they probably, know, saw, or heard,” she captioned a reel of her wearing an oversized tee, sweatpants and sunglasses.
“Only to make friends, receive hugs, numbers, play dates, and hearing, ‘Girl, we feel you.’”
Paul said she was pleasantly surprised by the warm greetings, noting her healing journey is very much still a work in progress. “Just needed to leave the house to remember other people’s perception or opinions through a screen don’t define my true character,” Paul captioned the post. Her followers further supported her in the comments section.
“Yassss🙌 this makes me so happy for you!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ There are still good people out there and I’m so happy you’re finding them!!!!” one wrote, while a second added, “Yessss ❤️🔥🙌🙌🙌🔥❤️ we love you babe!!!” A third commented, “Proud of you 🤍.”
Paul’s reel comes after news broke that she will not be charged in a February alleged domestic violence dispute with her ex Mortensen, 33, with whom she shares son Ever, 2. (Taylor is also the mom of daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, who she welcomed with ex-husband Tate Paul.)
After learning that she avoided charges, Paul shared her reaction via Instagram. “Cried when I got the call 🙏,” she captioned a pic of flowers. “THANK YOU to those that have stood with me.”
Paul has been candid about her self-care journey via social media, even while some of her followers advised she takes it offline.
“That sounds like the reasonable answer, however, I will be doing the opposite,” she wrote while replying to a fan. “I’ll continue sharing on social media, showing how ugly healing can truly be. Making and editing videos is my way of processing just like people who like to write into a journal.”
The influencer continued, “This is my way and I choose to share it. Saying this with love, most people would need to get off and [that is] so understandable. I’m not most.”
Paul’s season 22 of The Bachelorette was pulled from the air after a video leaked from a 2023 dispute with Mortensen.
In April, Disney’s unscripted and reality TV chief, Rob Mills, shared an update on whether her season will air now that she won’t be charged. “Everything with that is one day at a time,” he told Variety.
