Close those eyes! Taylor Kinney is Lady Gaga’s No. 1 supporter, but that doesn’t mean he likes to see her get intimate with another person on-screen. The Chicago Fire actor joked about watching his fiancee’s American Horror Story: Hotel sex scenes during The Meredith Vieira Show on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
“It was awkward. They had a really lovely premiere in Los Angeles the other week, and I was sitting next to her father and we were both kind of like, ‘Wow! Good job, honey,'” Kinney, 34, joked.
“I remember I was walking out, and Ryan Murphy, who created the show and directed that episode as well, he’s like, ‘Hey, what did you think?’ I don’t think I said anything,” he continued. “I’m still trying to process what the hell I just watched. But I couldn’t be more proud and she’s excited and she’s loving it.”
The “Applause” singer, 29, plays The Countess on Season 5 of the FX series. In the second episode, she and her costar Finn Wittrock (who plays Tristan Duffy) have a very graphic love scene. Her character also seduces Angela Bassett’s character Ramona Royale.
As previously reported, Gaga and Kinney got engaged this past Valentine’s Day after four years of dating. The couple are excited about their nuptials, but haven’t set a wedding date yet.
“It’s kind of a logistics thing right now, but it’s just timing. She’s really busy with [AHS], I’m busy with [Chicago Fire],” Kinney explained to Vieira. “I could go to the Little White Chapel but I think, well, she’s an Italian and that won’t happen. She wants a nice big wedding, so I’ll let you know when we get a date.”
