Taylor Frankie Paul is publicly leaning on Bachelorette suitor Doug Mason after they rekindled their relationship.
Mason, 29, took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, May 13, sharing footage of himself using a drill to install a toilet paper holder in his bathroom. (Earlier on Wednesday, Mason revealed via his page that he was “movin’ in” to a new apartment.)
Seeing Mason’s upload, Paul, 31, issued a response — and a plea for help.
“Hey @_dougmason, mine broke too,” Paul wrote via her Instagram Stories, sharing a snap of a broken toilet roll holder. “Can you help by chance?”
Mason succinctly reposted Paul’s photo without sharing more.
Mason appeared on Paul’s season 22 of The Bachelorette, which was scrapped days before its March premiere over the reality TV star’s 2023 domestic violence allegations after leaked footage resurfaced online. (Paul was arrested in 2023, pleading guilty to aggravated assault after an alleged altercation with now-ex Dakota Mortensen.)
“In light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked,” Doug said in a social media video at the time, addressing the scandal. “All we can do right now is just be hopeful, and I am headed off to run to watch the sunrise.”

He concluded, “I hope you guys have a great day, and let’s stay positive and show nothing but support for people in need.”
While it’s not known how Paul’s Bachelorette season concluded, Us Weekly confirmed last month that she was giving her relationship with Mason another chance.
“They were hanging out recently and want to see if they can get back together and be a couple,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly, noting the pair are “seeing each other” and “trying to make it work” as a couple.
ABC has not made a decision about whether Paul’s Bachelorette season will ever air.

“She has been doing the work behind the scenes, taken accountability and is focused on moving forward in a more positive way,” a second insider told Us earlier in May of Paul. “The hope is that viewers would connect with that growth and see a different side of her, making this season feel like a true redemption moment rather than just a return to TV, but right now her priority is her family and her mental health.”
Utah police have since confirmed that Paul will not face charges following separate alleged incidents with Mortensen, 33. The pair share 2-year-old son Ever, whom Mortensen was awarded temporary sole custody of until an upcoming court hearing. Taylor also shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul.
