Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s highly anticipated, star-studded wedding ceremony somehow managed to feel like an extremely personal affair.

“It really was intimate,” broadcaster Robin Roberts revealed after attending the couple’s Friday, July 3, ceremony during an episode of Good Morning America the next day.

Roberts’ co-anchor George Stephanopoulos concurred, noting that NYC’s famed Madison Square Garden was transformed into “a garden inside the Garden.”

“It was just so beautiful,” Stephanopoulos, 65, said on Friday. “It’s hard to imagine that a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate.”

Part of what made the nuptials so special, according to the co-anchors, were the newlyweds’ deeply emotional vows.

“Oh, their vows,” Roberts, 65, gushed on the broadcast. “They wrote their own vows.”

Stephanopoulos chimed in, noting that the duo read their heartfelt messages aloud from “little books.” He previously told ABC News in a statement after the ceremony that Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot in a “moving” ceremony.

“Vows: everything you would hope for, real, vulnerable, serious and silly, deeply loving,” reporter Sophie Flay read Stephanopoulos’ statement aloud on a Friday broadcast. “Who knew that a wedding in Madison Square Garden could be so intimate?”

Swift and Kelce reportedly each spoke for roughly 20 minutes.

“Then, the vows. Long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing explorations by each as to how they met, why they want to be with each other for all eternity,” AMC CEO Adam Aron wrote in a since-deleted X recap of the newlywed’s big day, per Entertainment Weekly. “[They shared] the promises they made in joining their much-beloved two whole families (Kelce’s and Swift’s) as one, and committing to their new mutual life together.”

Swift and Kelce’s wedding was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler, whom Stephanopoulos noting to ABC was “funny and touching.”

The bride and groom, each clad in bespoke Christian Dior Haute Couture, were joined at the altar by their two brothers in lieu of a traditional bridal party.

“Her brother, Austin Swift, served as Taylor’s ‘Man of Honor’ and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man,” a statement from Taylor’s rep read. “The ceremony joined both families together.”

Taylor and Austin are the two children of Scott and Andrea Swift, while Travis and Jason, 38, are the sons of exes Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce.

“I really can’t say a heck of a lot,” Donna told Macy’s social media team while attending the 50th Macy’s 4th of July fireworks display in New York City the next day. “It was magical, man, magical.”
