Staying strong and keeping busy! Since Joe Giudice reported to prison two weeks ago, his wife, Teresa Giudice, has been focusing on their family, getting her yoga certification and patiently waiting for approval to visit him in jail.

While Joe is behind bars at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey for conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges, Teresa is taking things one day at a time. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star began his sentence on March 23, but as of Thursday, April 7, has yet to have a visit from Teresa or their kids Gia, 15, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6. “Joe can see visitors on his list this week, but Teresa’s paperwork takes longer because she is on probation,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Teresa will be going to visit Joe the second she can. She’s hoping it will be this coming Sunday.”

Back at home, Teresa has been coping with Joe’s absence by throwing herself into the kids’ lives, especially now that filming has ended for season 7 of Real Housewives of New Jersey. “It’s very lonely in the house without Joe there, but since Teresa has just finished filming, she’s back in her element and able to take the girls to all their activities,” the source continues. “She’s back in full-on mom mode.”

The Turning the Tables author is also staying zen by working to become a yoga instructor. “The girls are in school during the day, so Teresa has been visiting with friends and practicing yoga a lot,” the source says. “Teresa is still working on her yoga certification. It is taking much longer because her probation stopped her from attending everything she wanted.”

The RHONJ star released a video statement last week to Bravo’s Daily Dish thanking fans for their support. “It has been a difficult week for us, but we’re making it through, thank God,” Teresa said. “Joe is doing as well as expected. Of course we spoke to him. And I just want to say thank you again from my heart for being there.” As Us Weekly previously reported, Joe already got five months knocked off his prison sentence since reporting to Fort Dix.

Prior to Joe’s jail time, Teresa completed an 11-month sentence at Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut for her connection to the crimes. Joe looked after the kids while Teresa was behind bars. She was released in December.
