The Challenge‘s Davis Mallory is introducing his new girlfriend, Rachel Vaughan, nearly one year after he announced that he is no longer gay.
“It’s crazy what love can do,” Davis, 43, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, August 30. “I love you.”
Davis included several photos of him and Rachel as they enjoyed a vacation together. There were also snaps of the couple packing on the PDA.
“I love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Rachel replied in the comments section.
The Challenge’s Derrick Kosinski also showed the new couple love by sharing three raised hands emojis.
Several fans of Davis took to the comments section to express their support.
“You make each other ✨glow ✨,” one user wrote while another responded, “Obsessed with you guys 🥰🥰 sooo happy for you!!”
Davis and Rachel’s hard launch comes nearly one year after the former reality star revealed he no longer identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
“I lived a gay lifestyle for about 20 years, I was on a television show The Real World and I came out as a gay Christian,” Davis said in a September 2025 Instagram video of him giving a speech at the Arise House of Prayer and Worship in Hawaii. “God really pulled me out of that lifestyle a year ago.”
Davis publicly came out as gay when he appeared on The Real World: Denver, which aired in 2007. He went on to compete in The Challenge for its The Inferno 3, The Duel II and Rivals seasons.
During his speech, Davis shared that he was having recurring dreams of God encouraging him to change his lifestyle.
“Praise God, honestly. He started speaking to me in my dreams and showing me the spiritual warfare that I was going through,” he continued. “Every time I returned to sin, I would have a nightmare that my car was being broken into. I had a nightmare [where] I gave [the car’s] title to someone else. I was giving my identity to someone else while my car was sliding backwards. So he was just showing me these really strong visual dreams, these images of what sin was doing in my life.”
Davis previously opened up to Out Magazine about his experience identifying as a gay Christian.
“As a boy growing up in Georgia with a very religious family and community, being gay was not at all what I wanted to be,” he told the outlet in 2018. “I came out to my peers in my junior year of college on a study abroad trip in Europe. I had finally fallen in love for the first time that summer, with a man and I felt feelings I had never felt before for a woman.”
