The Offspring rocker and founding member Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman is taking some time away from the stage amid a health issue.

“It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performance for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue,” Noodles, 63, wrote in a statement shared via the official Offspring’s Instagram account on Wednesday, October 21. “The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence.”

The message continued, “I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”

Noodles received support from fans and friends in the comments section of the post, including one message from Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier, who wrote, “Hope you’re OK brother. Sending love and positivity. You’re a legend…. You got this. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Days before the statement, Noodles took the stage with the Offspring in San Diego on October 18. The punk-rock band is set to perform in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 24, before traveling to Las Vegas on November 6. The group is then putting on a show at the Corona Capital 2026 festival in Mexico City on November 21 before concluding on January 16 in Los Angeles for the iHeartRadio ALTer Ego 2027 festival.

The Offspring, who formed in California in 1984, is currently composed of Noodles, frontman Dexter Holland, bassist Todd Morse, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy and drummer Brandon Pertzborn. The group released their 11th studio album, Supercharged, in 2024.

“I think in the long run, Dexter and I always loved doing what we do,” Noodles told People in 2024. “I’ve always been really appreciative of his songwriting, and I love the time we spend in the studio, but then taking the songs out and playing them live for fans, that’s the greatest feeling in the world.”

Noodles also reflected on his friendship with fellow Offspring founding member Holland, joking that the pair operate as “brothers, friends [and] bitter enemies at times.”

“No, we do have our disagreements and our arguments usually around stuff that has nothing to do with music,” he told the outlet at the time. “But ultimately we have a lot of mutual respect for each other and love for each other.”
