Twitter Throws a #KanyeIsOverParty After Rapper’s Concert Rant

The people have spoken. Twitter declared a #KanyeIsOverParty on Sunday, November 20, one day after Kanye West went on a rant about Beyoncé and Jay Z and ended his concert after just half an hour on Saturday.

West, 39, kicked off his Sacramento show approximately 90 minutes late, according to concertgoers, performed four songs and railed against the superstar couple, as well as Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Facebook and Google, before calling it quits on Saturday, November 19.

“Beyoncé, I was hurt because I hear that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling,’” he said, referencing the MTV Video Music Awards, in video clips posted online. “In my opinion … now don’t go dissing Beyoncé, she’s great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all equal. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win.”
