Yikes. The View hosts got into hot water again on Thursday, Nov. 19, after they made a few ill-considered jokes about eating disorders.

"We were just discussing whether it's better to become bulimic or anorexic backstage," Joy Behar informed the audience after the roundtable discussed 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recent “unintended” weight loss.

“What do you girls think?" Michelle Collins asked the crowd before stating: "Definitely bulimic. You get to enjoy the meal."

Candace Cameron Bure, who has been vocal about suffering from an eating disorder in the past, tried to defuse the situation. "Please know that while this is in jest, as someone that has dealt with an eating disorder, I don't want to make light of anyone that has it…I think I can joke about it because I've been there,” she said, after the women explained that they were “kidding.”

Following the commercial break, Whoopi Goldberg tried to backtrack, too. “As Candace pointed out, she knows what this is like,” Goldberg said. “We know. We understand. And, of course, we never want to offend anybody."
