Amid the chaos that erupted during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland on Monday, July 18, was Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson. The reality star and Duck Commander CEO spoke in support of Trump, joking about how they both have wives hotter than them.

“I’ve always said that I have three things in common with Mr. Trump,” Robertson said during his speech. “We’re both successful businessmen. We’ve both had hit TV shows. And we both have intelligent wives who are much better looking than we are.”

The A&E star is married to Korie Robertson. Trump, as the world is well aware, is married to Melania Trump.

“No matter who you are, Donald Trump will have your back,” the reality star concluded of the controversial GOP candidate.

“This just in, Willie Robertson wants to swing with Donald's wife. #DuckDynasty #RNCinCLE,” one user on Twitter shared following Robertson’s speech, while another added: “‘Donald Trump should be president because he has a jet, top TV show, and hot wife. — Willie Robertson.’ I mean, just … Wow.”

Another user summed up Robertson’s support for Trump as: “Willie Robertson supports Donald Trump. Why, you ask? Because he has a hot wife. Glad to see the dumbasses priorities are in check.”

Melania was also a point of conversation for Newt Gingrich, who said that Trump’s marriage to the Slovenian model proves that he’s not “anti-immigrant.”

“Melania is not only very, very attractive as a supermodel, but she’s also living proof that Donald Trump is not anti-immigrant,” Gingrich said of the presumptive presidential nominee during an interview with Fox News on Monday. “He’s just for legal immigrants.”

Twitter was also quick to mock the former speaker’s comments. “Not from The Onion—Newt Gingrich says Melania Trump is 'living proof' of Donald Trump not being anti-immigrant,” one Twitter user joked.
