Kanye West is their OG and will be respected as such. Wiz Khalifa confirmed on Wednesday, February 3, that he and the Waves rapper made peace, but the entire summit was orchestrated through mutual friends.
The “Young, Wild & Free” rapper, 28, opened up to DJ Whoo Kid on SiriusXM’s The Whoolywood Shuffle in an interview airing this Saturday, February 6. In a preview clip, Khalifa says he wasn’t the one to extend the olive branch first.
“No, I didn’t call him,” Khalifa shared. “We have a lot of mutual friends.” And those unidentified pals connected the pair.
“Where was it gonna go?” the DJ asked of the feud. “It wasn’t gonna go anywhere.” Laughing, the not-too-talkative Khalifa replied, “Thank you.”
The two also discussed another point of contention from last week. In case Khalifa wasn’t explicit enough in his Twitter responses, he reiterated that “KK” does not connote Kim Kardashian. The term stands for Khalifa Kush, a strain of cannabis.
“It was weed,” Khalifa said. “I would never go out of my way to disrespect anybody.”
West broke news on Tuesday, February 2, that he and Khalifa made amends. “Me and Wiz spoke yesterday,” West tweeted to his 18 million-plus followers. “Great convo. All positive.”
West and Khalifa’s mutual ex, Amber Rose, also made peace that same day with Kardashian. Both moms shared a snap together via social media. While all is good, it remains unclear whether West and Rose have spoken.
