Wynonna Judd opened up about her admittedly difficult dynamic with her estranged daughter, Grace Kelley.

“Grace is my love, she is my daughter and I love her dearly,” Judd, 62, told People in a profile published Wednesday, September 30. “She’s got an addiction to meth, and it’s devastating.”

Kelley, 30, is currently serving a prison sentence of one year and three months at the Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg, Virginia, after pleading guilty to the felony charge of driving with a suspended license in June. Us broke the news in August that a judge denied Kelley’s recent motion for a temporary furlough amid her pregnancy.

“No, I don’t know anything,” Judd claimed to People when asked about her daughter’s pregnancy. “I’m heartbroken, and she cut me off a year ago. I’m walking a very interesting walk right now, where I absolutely know very little.”

The country singer further alleged that she first found out about Kelley’s pregnancy via TikTok.

“I laid there, and I was shocked, just like you would imagine,” Judd said. “I cried and cried and cried because I have another grandbaby, I think.”

Judd and her husband, Cactus Moser, had previously adopted Kelley’s 4-year-old daughter, Kaliyah. The couple, who are also grandparents to the 2-year-old son of Judd’s son Elijah, have since seldom had any contact with Kelley.

“I miss her desperately, and I’ve missed out on a lot of years because of the drug addiction,” Judd stated to People. “I’ve spent half a million dollars on programs trying to do the right thing, trying to do the next right thing. And meth is a bitch. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, and I just can’t believe it.

She continued, “As a mother of an addict, I can tell you this: When the money stops, they usually cut you off because there’s no more money. And I’ve done everything I can do.”

Judd, who shares Grace and Elijah with ex-husband Arch Kelley III, remains hopeful that her daughter will eventually “find healing” and “quit blaming me.”

“She’s 30. There comes a point when you can’t blame anymore,” she said in Wednesday’s profile. “You have to take a look at yourself.”

Grace had been arrested multiple times over the years for various drug-related charges and violating parole before her recent incarceration.
