Sounds like he’s never saying never! Zac Efron revealed in a recent interview with Elle magazine that he wouldn’t necessarily rule out doing full nudity in a film — if it was for the right flick.
“Let’s just say I’m not opposed to anything,” he told the publication. “But if you’re gonna pull your d–k out, it’d better be for an Academy Award-winning movie.”
The Neighbors 2 star added that though he would be choosy about dropping trou on the big screen, he is aware that his barely clothed body has been a big selling point in many of his films thus far.
Asked whether he’s concerned about losing parts if he ever lets himself go, the 28-year-old actor cited another A-list actor who’s managed to stay fit through the years.
“I look at Matthew McConaughey,” he said. “He’s maintained [his buff body] his whole career. We know so much more now than we used to about [the effects of] being sedentary. I’m driven. I want to attack life. I want to do a triathlon.”
One thing that has helped, Efron added, is his decision to be sober (the former Disney star checked himself into rehab for alcoholism and substance abuse in 2013.)
“What I found is structure,” he said. “That led me to a balance of opposites: You get out of life what you put in. There was a moment when my morning routine was, like, Get up and Google yourself. But that stopped, dramatically and instantly, probably three years ago. I realized that viewing yourself through other people’s pictures is not living your own life.”
As Us Weekly exclusively reported last month, Efron has been going through some other social media purging as of late.
He and his girlfriend of almost two years, Sami Miró, called it quits on their relationship, and the Baywatch actor promptly deleted all photos of Miró from his Instagram and stopped following her account.
